20 Strathaven Apartment Building - Cervantes Lions Non-Profit Housing Corporation

PNF Engineering was responsible for Mechanical Consulting services related to the boiler and chiller plant replacement for 20 Strathaven drive, in Mississauga. The consulting services included the Electrical and Mechanical services for the 14-storey residential building.

PNF Engineering provided our detailed investigation and analysis of the state of the existing heating and cooling systems. Based on the findings, PNF was able to create a report detailing feasible options for the client along with the Engineer’s recommendation. The scope of work entailed a retrofit, upgrade, and replacement of the existing cooling tower, chiller, and the boiler plant.

During the investigation and analysis phase of the project, PNF identified the need for a detailed structural analysis to review the additional load for the cooling tower. PNF retained their extended team of Structural Engineers to analyze the existing support structure of the rooftop and comment on the need for potential reinforcement. Upon review the existing supports were deemed adequate for the new load.
