Earlscourt Park - City of Toronto, Park, Forestry and Recreation Division
PNF Engineering was retained for Mechanical and Electrical Consulting services for Toronto Parks and Recreation Earlscourt Fieldhouse renovations.
After the investigation process, PNF presented our proposed design and implementation to the City of Toronto. Our services consisted of an investigation and analysis reports, Designated Substances Surveys (DSS), tender documentation packages, project specifications, building permit applications and design. The design included new heating, ventilation, and plumbing systems.
Due to the age of the existing services, prior to any construction work, PNF identified the need for a hazardous substance survey. This survey was to be conducted to identify and list the potential locations of hazardous materials. Asbestos material was found within the insulated pipe fittings. Following the findings listed in the report, PNF worked to develop an asbestos abatement protocol and specification and ensured that all hazardous materials were properly disposed of and removed prior to any demolition and site work.
